About me
A builder, engineer, and storyteller.

The Journey

My path hasn't been a straight line. It’s been defined by high stakes, hard lessons, and a relentless drive to build.
Most recently, I co-founded Figment, an AI-powered interactive storytelling company. We raised capital from Andreessen Horowitz (a16z) through their Speedrun (SR004) program and set out to build the future of dynamic media. It was a vision I poured everything into.

The Hard Reset
The startup world is volatile. Despite the success of our funding and vision, I was ousted from the company I helped build. It was a brutal, abrupt end to that chapter, but it provided the most valuable lessons of my career: lessons about governance, trust, focus, and the importance of aligning with the right people.
I am not building Figment anymore. I am taking those scars and turning them into a foundation for what comes next.
The Foundation
Before entering the venture world, I spent three years as a Senior Software Engineer at Pixar Animation Studios. There, I helped craft the technical wizardry behind five animated feature films, pioneering the integration of AI-powered asset search into the studio's production pipeline.
Preceding my time in animation, I spent nearly a decade at Pearson Education building the backbone of my engineering career. As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer, I architected fault-tolerant cloud systems, pioneered the use of microservices, and led a team of 5 people. This passion for automation spilled over into the open source world, where I developed tools like tfswitch to streamline workflows for engineers everywhere.
